About Us:
LVD Group, based in Cliffside Park, NJ, is seeking a skilled Security Electronic Technician with programming experience to join our team. If you have hands-on experience with security system installations and troubleshooting, and you’re also comfortable with programming and configuring those systems, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Install and Maintain Security Systems: You’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of security systems, such as CCTV, burglar alarms, access control, and intercoms.
- Troubleshoot and Repair: When things go wrong (because they sometimes do!), you’ll diagnose and fix any issues with these systems on-site.
- Program and Configure Systems: You’ll put your programming skills to work, customizing security systems to meet client needs, and ensuring everything is running smoothly. You’ll work with systems like Brivo, Keyscan, Keri, Kantech, Eagleeye, Exacq, DSC, and more.
- Network Integration: As part of your role, you’ll also help integrate these systems with network cabling and devices like routers and switches.
- Document Your Work: Keeping track of your installs, repairs, and customer interactions will be key. You'll keep records so we can stay organized and our clients stay informed.
- Collaborate with the Team: You’ll work closely with our team to improve security systems and help solve any challenges that come up.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, intercoms).
- Comfort and skill with hand tools, power tools, and the ability to bend piping and crimp wires.
- Solid troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
- Programming experience with security systems like Brivo, Keyscan, Kantech, DSC, Exacq, and similar systems.
- Experience with network cabling, switches, routers, and security system integrations.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites.
- OSHA 40-hour certification is a plus.
- Newly hired employee will need to agree to fingerprinting and background check.
